This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Platform, create an account, make purchases, or engage with our community and educational content.

Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

  • Profile photo or avatar (optional)
  • Billing address and mailing address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Bio, interests, and other profile details you choose to share

  • Credit or debit card details (processed and stored by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers)
  • Billing name and address
  • Transaction history and subscription status

User-Generated Content Content you create, post, upload, or share on the Platform, including:

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our Platform, we automatically collect certain technical information, including:

  • Device and Browser Information: Device type, operating system, browser type and version, screen resolution, and language settings
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on pages, links clicked, search queries, and course progress
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, referring/exit pages, and error logs
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: See Section 5 for details

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information about you from:

  • Authentication Providers: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google through OAuth 2.0, as described in Section 2.4.
  • Connected Google Calendar (optional): If you connect Google Calendar, we access calendar data through Google OAuth 2.0, as described in Section 2.5.
  • Payment Processors: Transaction confirmation and fraud-prevention signals from our payment partners (e.g., Stripe)
  • Analytics Providers: Aggregated or de-identified usage insights from analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics and Amplitude)

2.4 Sign in with Google

If you choose to sign in or create an account using Google, we use Google OAuth 2.0 as an authentication provider. We do not receive or store your Google account password.

Information we receive from Google (sign-in only)

  • Email address
  • Name
  • Profile picture (if available from your Google account)

How we use it

  • Create and authenticate your My Learning Circle account
  • Link your Google identity to your account (if applicable)
  • Communicate account-related notices to the email address associated with your account

What we do not do

  • We do not use Google sign-in data for advertising
  • We do not sell Google sign-in data
  • Google sign-in does not by itself grant us access to your Google Calendar; calendar access requires a separate, optional authorization described in Section 2.5

Third-party terms Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Revoking access You may disconnect Google as a sign-in method by maintaining another sign-in method on your account (such as email and password). You may also revoke our access to your Google account from your Google Account permissions. Revoking Google sign-in access may affect your ability to sign in unless you have set up an alternative method.

2.5 Google Calendar Integration (Optional)

You may optionally connect your Google Calendar to sync your planner and scheduled activities. This is a separate authorization from Google sign-in and requires your explicit consent through Google's OAuth consent screen.

Authorization method We use Google OAuth 2.0 with the following scopes:

ScopePurpose
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.readonlyView calendars you can access and read events from calendars you choose to share with the Platform
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.eventsCreate and update events on your calendars when you schedule activities through the Platform
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.emailIdentify which Google account is connected to your My Learning Circle account

Calendar data we access When you connect Google Calendar and select one or more calendars to share, we may access:

  • Calendar metadata: calendar ID, calendar name, whether it is your primary calendar, your access role, and display color
  • Event data: event title, start and end date/time, all-day status, and event ID — limited to calendars you select and a rolling time window used for planner display and sync

How we use calendar data

  • Display your schedule in the My Learning Circle planner
  • Import events from calendars you select into your planner view
  • Create all-day calendar events in Google Calendar when you schedule My Learning Circle activities (when write sync is enabled)
  • Keep your planner and Google Calendar in sync for connected calendars

What we do not do

  • We do not access Google Calendar unless you choose to connect it
  • We do not read calendars you have not selected to share with the Platform
  • We do not use calendar data for advertising
  • We do not sell calendar data
  • We do not permanently delete, share, or change ownership of your Google calendars

Data we store To maintain the connection and provide calendar features, we store:

  • OAuth access and refresh tokens (encrypted or otherwise protected in our systems)
  • The Google account email associated with the connection
  • Metadata about calendars you have selected
  • Cached copies of imported Google events and My Learning Circle planner events linked to Google

Google API Services User Data Policy Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Third-party terms Your use of Google Calendar through the Platform is also subject to Google's Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
